SM_Pro_Cath_MarkCheerful Givers Wanted!

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He Gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, our talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.

Give Money | Give Time

“real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present.”

-Albert Camus

We Tithe:

The word “tithe” literally means a tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn’t merely giving something to God. It’s giving back what was His to begin with. All that we have, or hope to have, comes from God. The Bible says that tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything. It teaches us to always put God first in our lives. So go ahead, become a percentage giver and watch your life change! Just click on the links below!

We Work:

Our parish lives through our effort, and in turn, our hands and feet heal the world. Therefore, we support not only through our dollars and cents, but through the work we put forth to clean, assist, help with office hours, set up events, serve liturgy, and work our garden and grounds. Yes, we support, we labor, and we live together to help God build a kingdom for everyone who desires a relationship with Christ!

We Care:

Our church is also a place where the hurting, the helpless, and the hopeless can find help, too. We provide an environment where anyone can share their burdens, glean from others experience, and find strength by being with people who also have gone through what they are experiencing now. You don’t have to go through it alone.  At Saint Miriam, we welcome the perfect and the broken at the same table!

“To dispel the darkness… some people pray. some light candles. we believe that must do something more…”

It cannot be overstated that when we give to God, we are not deciding how much of our wealth to give; and we certainly should not ‘tip’ God! Rather, we are determining how much of God’s wealth to keep for our own uses. Therefore, for God’s people, 5-10 percent should be a floor, not a ceiling, and a place to begin, not a place to end.
