At Saint Miriam, we honor all that we do together, but celebrate even more when we bring people closer to God, especially our youngest! Congratulations to Dylan, Bella and Isabella who will make their First Holy Communion this Sunday at the 10:30am Mass.  As a show of support, all PREP/CCD Classes will all be attending this Mass. To accommodate, all classes will begin at 10:00am for all except for those receiving FHC.  They, instead, will have practice from 10:00am-10:30am.  Please plan on meeting outside of the Sanctuary by 9:55am so that we can begin promptly.  See you Sunday!

Did You Know We Live by a CovenantAt Saint Miriam, we honor all that we built by living and honoring The Saint Miriam Covenant. We do so because parishes thrive in a healthy atmosphere, and close down by being torn down by gossip. Our Covenant is located by Clicking Here as a refresher to those who desire to bring rumor and innuendo to the parish due to simple things that happen within all parishes, like our recent staff changes, or expansion. We remind you to read, live by, honor it. We also remind that our pastor has an open door policy and in the past 5 years only 4 parishioners have ever used to to ask questions and get fact. Email him here for your appointment, but if you feel talking in circles is helpful, there are other parishes that welcome that kind of destruction. We do not at Saint Miriam. We are better than that; so is our God and all that He has given to us by the sacrifice of the many who labor.

Help Our Children in 2016: Sponsor a Child Today! We now have 8 Sponsors so far! There are many ways to help our children become better adults and Christians, as well as better practicing Catholics, and this year we offer two wonderful means to bring a smile – and a little support – right to our school! First, why not think about purchasing a brick that will help in the building of a new pathway to our Saint Miriam Summer Playground area and forever create a legacy on our campus! For every donation of $100.00 to The Saint Miriam Fund receive a 4 x 8 Personalized Brick! (Special Size of 8 x 8 is Available for a Donation Amount of $250.00). Learn more about our needed bricks by Clicking Here! For just $29 a month, or a one-time donation of only $350, you can provide essential aid and education to improve the well-being of every child that comes to our doors! And, because we actually feed our children during the school day, your donation not only helps give them a good education, you fill their bellies with wholesome food, too! Today we honor The Resurrection of the Lord!

📳 The Silence of Holy Week

Take some time this week for silence. Good Friday is the perfect opportunity to sit alone, away from the world and let God speak. We use silence in each of our Holy Week Liturgies to allow you to explore God within you. Find ways this week during Holy Week, that will help draw you into that silent place where we can hear God’s voice more clearly in our lives. Join us in “listening” to the silence each day of Holy Week and then spend 5 minutes alone with the Lord without any distractions.

👮🏼Pray for Our Sheriff’s Department

We have added the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to our intentional prayers. Sheriff Sean Kilkenny, and his deputies with the Bomb Squad, helped us make Easter special at the Egg Hunt this year with their special eggs for blind children. Now, let us pray for their safety every day along with all those who serve in the various departments around us. Pray for others…

💒 A Good Parish Of Great People!

How do folks feel about us? How do they care for others? This past week, Rick Freed made a three month donation to cover Memorial Masses for Diamond Williams, knowing that her family forgot her, but that we never will. And then, Pam and Bill sent a note that is worth sharing when they said, “This Lent season has been a time of several “changing/growing” experiences for me at Saint Miriam and it all started with that first step through the door and that first hug!”  We are what we teach; we will live what we preach! Welcome home!
