🌎 Our “Green Policy” at Saint Miriam Becomes even Better!

We implemented a strong environmental stewardship policy, or “Green” Policy, almost 4 years ago. In that time we have deceased our utility usage by 150%, improved insulation values, installed a water bottle fountain system, increased the efficiency of HVAC, and upgraded to the newest technologies to improve our energy use and decrease our carbon footprint as a parish. Soon, we will change out our “1st generation” LED bulbs located in the sanctuary to the most advanced technology available that will increase our lighting lumens and decrease our per bulb operating cost from approx. $8.02 to less than 3.61 cents a year!! Please join us in our effort to make us better strews of all God has given us in our earth. And, join the Caring for Our Creation Group monthly to learn how you can join us in this effort!

🚻 New Restroom Signs to be Installed!

🙏🏼 “Blessing Bags” Come to Saint Miriam; All To Help Others!

Blessing “Food Bags” Come to Saint Miriam! We have introduced a new ministry at Saint Miriam. Our food bags are filled with nutritious food and goodies. We introduced these Food bags on Sunday, the 19th of August at the 9:00am Mass and the idea of having a ready bag prepared and ready to hand out to our homeless brothers and sisters was greeted with enthusiasm by the members of our church. The food bags were created by Fr. John Francis in 2011 while an Episcopal Deacon in California. This bag provides a homeless person with enough food to sustain them for a few days and allows us to help them. The food bag contains Vienna Sausages, Tuna or Chicken packages, water, juice, crackers and peanut butter, and cookies too. Please help us by (1) distributing these bags, and (2) helping with needed supplies!

We have also been given a supply of Adult Depends-style liners. Please see someone of staff – they are free and boxed as new!
