Did You Know?  Every year we, like many churches during the summertime, expect and try to plan for what has become known as ‘the summer slump’! But, did you know that July and August offerings typically fall by 40% or more! Think about your own home: could you manage to make ends meet if your income were suddenly cut by 40%-50%?  Please sign up to support us electronically before the summer begins and show your love of the parish and support of those who have to keep us here in your absence! Click Here to begin today!

A Note on Social Media from Our Pastor! I just wanted to write a brief note to remind everyone that social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, et al) are very public. Your posts of encouragement and you posts of anger or prejudice reflect on your membership here at Saint Miriam. We are an inclusive, loving, and welcoming community. I pray you keep these words in your heart, as you allow your fingers to write or post images that run contrary to our belief. Thank you. Msgr. +Jim

Sharing Tax Benefits is Simply Grand! This week was tax return time! If you are receiving a tax refund, why not consider sharing a part of it with Saint Miriam? After all, God was gracious enough to sustain you in your work and life this past year, perhaps giving a little back is worth the effort for a grander next year? Give a portion of your return to the One who gave it to you by Clicking Here?

How Well Did We Do This Easter?  Why not read these lovely remarks from our own Donna Mitchell:

Good morning, Your Excellency!

I had to write to you this morning to give you a piece of my mind!

First of all, kudos to you and the ministry team for the most beautiful Holy Week observances! Each day, reading, and activity was heartfelt and so very meaningful. It is one of the reasons Mom and I are part of Saint Miriam’s family today!

I know this one was particularly difficult for you on so many levels: the grief of losing your Dad and Art, Fr. Joe’s illness and Mother Dorothy’s leave…we know and appreciate how hard you work. Thank you!

I have to tell you that I have NEVER felt so much joy at Easter Mass as I felt yesterday. I was brimming with joy. I looked around at our Church Family during Mass and saw the families, the couples, the children, our friends, and I was overcome with emotion. I thought I was going to burst into tears of joy!

Thank you for welcoming us and always making us feel that we are HOME! Thank you for giving us a place to worship and show our love for one another and our world! Thank you for making us aware of our “Easter Heart”!!!

I am truly and phenomenally blessed to be a part of this family and to call you Pastor and friend!

I love you to the moon and back!!!

Namaste,
Donna
