Week Days:

A Mid-Week Mass – A “Said Liturgy without Music” [Approx. :30 min]:
Wednesdays at 6:00pm

The focus for our mid-week weekly Thursday Mass is on a modest, contemplative service without music and a simple, ‘said’ liturgical experience with a priest and altar server. There are limited readings and reflections. This is also an incense-free Mass.

The basic outline is as follows:

  • Mass begins promptly at 6:00pm
  • Proclamation of the Readings from the Ambo
  • Mass Concludes at 6:30pm

There is no fellowship and/or social time after this Mass.

Sundays:

Early Mass – A “Said Liturgy without Music” [Approx. :30 min]:
Sundays at 7:30am

The focus for our later Mass is on an unassuming, contemplative service without music and a simple, ‘said’ liturgical experience with a priest and altar server. This is also an incense-free Mass.

The basic outline is as follows:

  • Mass begins promptly at 7:30am
  • Proclamation of the Gospel (from the Ambo)
  • Mass Concludes
Please Note: There is a light fare fellowship time after this Mass in the Undercroft.

Family Mass – A “Said Liturgy” with Hymns [Approx. :55-60 min]:

Sundays at 9:00am

The focus for our early Family Mass is on children and their families. A Children’s Homily is presented after the reading of the Gospel and then PREP (Formally CCD) takes place and the children exit the Sanctuary to join their teachers. While this Mass is a bit shorter overall, it is primarily attributed to having no sung Mass parts, no Meditation hymn, a ‘said’ Eucharistic Canon, with no Choir, etc. This is also an incense-free Mass.

The basic outline is as follows:

  • Prelude Music until 8:50am
  • Mass begins promptly at 9:00am
  • Proclamation of the Gospel (from the Ambo)
  • Children’s Homily (Sept-June)
  • The Children give their offering envelopes and then depart to PREP/CCD classes
  • Parents and family remain for the Mass
  • Holy Communion is brought to the children in their classrooms for those eligible to receive
  • Mass Concludes

Parents and Children are reunited in the Saint Miriam Cafe’ for fellowship and social time

Morning Mass – A “Sung Liturgy” with Music & Choir [Approx. 60 min]:
Sundays at 10:30am

The focus of our 10:30am Mass is on Liturgy & Music, along with a ‘sensory’ experience designed to elevate the fullness of the person to the sacred and eternal presence of God. The Canon of the Mass is often sung or intoned by the Celebrant(s), a Cantor is present to assist and guide the assembly in singing, the Choir is present for special feast days and holidays, and the Gospel proclamation is proclaimed from the “Gospel Circle” in front of the altar with candles, incense, and an Alleluia is also routinely used, a Meditation hymn is offered after Communion and ablutions are completed. Incense is also used for feast days.

The basic outline is as follows:

  • Prelude music from 10:20am
  • Then, a minute or two of silence for prayer occurs
  • Opening Announcement
  • Mass Begins
  • At the Sign of Peace, music is played as people exchange peace and welcome others
  • Full Eucharistic Canon is sung, intoned
  • Mass Concludes

Everyone is invited to the Saint Miriam Cafe’ for fellowship and social time
