Saint Miriam Life & News!

Today we … We experience The Third Scrutiny of Lent and continue to welcome newcomers to our new 5:00pm Mass! At the 9:00am, the children will receive their First Penance with Msgr +Jim, and at the 10:30am Morning Mass we welcome The Great Litany! There is also a Triduum practice after the second Mass today! A wonderful Sunday!
Final Stations of The Cross this Week! Please consider joining us for our final Stations of the Cross and Lenten Supper on Thursday, March 26th at 6:30pm. It is an experience to well…experience! So join us and make your final days of Lent a little deeper…
Easter Flowers Now Available! Please consider joining us in support of the parish by a Memorial or Honor donation toward our Easter Flowers! Please see anyone on staff or pick up a form in the Fellowship Hall or Information Center today!
Did You Know/Remember? Seven years ago this month Saint Miriam came into being! Please remember our nativity with a special gift this month? Thank you, God, for the gift of Saint Miriam!
Palm Sunday Change for PREP: This is just a reminder that soon Palm Sunday (March 29) will be upon us. This is the holiest time in our church and we will honor this day in a special way. We will ONLY have classes for First Holy Communion and Confirmation students on this day.  Class will be 10:00am-10:30am. Then, following class, all of the children will participate along with the congregation in the Grand Palm Procession and attend the 10:30am Mass! While all families are encouraged to attend with their children, this is required of all First Holy Communion and Confirmation students. See you then!
New Calendar Feature with Celebrants! We have begun to implement a new Master Calendar feature that includes the name of the Celebrating Priest for each liturgy on Thursdays and Sundays! These will be posted within the ‘Description Section’ for each Mass, at least one month ahead! So, now you will know who is scheduled to be the Presider at each service. Obviously, changes do occur, but a feature that will help those who have a favorite to plan better.  Saint Miriam…always thinking of you, our parishioners!
Letters to The Pope. Please write a letter to Pope Francis and ask him to visit us at Saint Miriam? Your letters will be combined with those from the children in our PREP classes. Pope Francis has expressed a strong desire that all Catholics work together and has recently written about it and even met with our Presiding Archbishop of the Communion of Old Catholics. This trip should not be about how much money we can make from his papal visit, but rather what bridges can we build…Please see Shaun Little.
Cafe’ Help Needed. Please consider volunteering in the Saint Miriam cafe’ to help with our warm fellowship experience, or we also need some help in the sacristy with linens and set up. Please see someone on staff today to lend a hand. It is a Lent, let’s sacrifice a little of our time?
Passion Week. Please begin to consider attending the Triduum this year that includes Holy Thursday (7pm), Good Friday (3pm), and The Great Vigil of Easter (7pm). Then attend Easter Sunday Mass at 10:30am. This year, we have a brand new way to bring the Gospel and Passion to life! Download a flyer now! More next week…for now, please begin to plan and allow us to journey with you through the most sacred of weeks in the Christian Calendar.

Bread and Wine Sponsors Needed!  Did you know that every month someone sponsors our Eucharistic bread and wine? This allows us to cover the expense and for them to honor a loved, too, with a special memorial or honor designation. We do not have anyone to sponsor for the last two months and have been out of these elements and so they have been replenished from the primary expense budget. Won’t you help? See someone on staff today, or email us here.
Volunteer a little time to help us Keep Clean?  Please see Bridget Rineer if you can help keep the parish running smoothy and remain clean and tidy. We need a few people to help us out. Please help us as part of your Lenten devotion?
