⛪️ Ordination, Chrism Oil, Sacred Meal and More! Join us this week as our church leaders gather for their annual Synod and witness the ordination of Brother Jeffrey Wolfe to the priesthood on Wednesday, August 17th at 10:30am! The Mass includes the blessed new oil for the year! Then, that evening, a special Sacred Meal Group at 6:30pm is happening in the undercroft! Join us!
📚 Author of “The Other Catholics” Joins Us! We have the privilege of hosting Dr. Julie Bryne, professor at Hofstra University and noted author of The Other Catholics: Remaking America’s Largest Religion, on Wednesday the 18th at 2:00pm at Saint Miriam! The event is open to the public and books are available and she will personally sign them for you! Join us!
🎉 Hawaiian Luau Party is Saturday!!! A fresh roasted pig at the center of our campus will set the theme for a wonderful gathering of fun! The evening continues with a feast in the company of friends, old and new. ✜ Welcome Synod Gathering 2016! August, from the 16th – 19th, will bring a gathering of bishops and priests from our greater Old Catholic Church to the campus of Saint Miriam for an annual gathering known as a Synod. This will bring about changes to Canon law and make other major and needed decisions that will usher in the new decade of growth for our church. Please pray for this gathering and respect their presence on our campus. And, plan to join us on Wednesday, August 17th when we will ordain Deacon Jeffery Wolfe to the Order of Priests at 10:30am! These gatherings are open to all who would like to stop by and meet the leadership of our greater church!
🍽 Sacred Meal Dinner Group on August 17th! A special edition of the Sacred Meal Dinner Group will occur on Wednesday, August 17th at 6:30pm! Join us by sending us an email today!
🏁 Almost to Finish Line: St. Francis On His Way! Our new Section F: The St. Francis Green Memorial Section is being worked on again and the granite base and statue of St. Francis Joilet is on the way! Tentatively watch for the base to arrive mid-August and the statue by month’s end with a dedication in September! This is an exciting time and we thank David Olson for overseeing this vital project. Work will continue over the next few weeks so get your visit it and save 30% prior to September’s dedication!

📷 Last Call For Our Summer Photo Contest!! Get your cameras out there to enrich our parish by taking some great photos! We have assembled a panel of judges, experts in their fields, for the final round and they will discuss the qualities that make a great image before choosing the category winners. Learn More Here! Ministry Team, Teachers, Educators, and Volunteers that have access to children are required by our pastor to have both the State and Federal Background Checks completed this year again by September 1st! Please complete ASAP and see Dr. Shaun Little with a copy of your clearances. You will not be able to teach or volunteer without them! Any questions, please contact us!
☎️ Phone Changes Coming to Parish and School! Over the next week we will be upgrading our phone system to allow for better communication. The old phone system that came with the building is no longer fully functional. So, we are changing careers t reduce costs and adding new phones and extensions. This may cause some down time. Please email us if you cannot contact us during this time. Thank you.
📿 Rosary is Life-giving! When we began our parish, Father Jim made a promise to the Blessed Mother: help us grow and wonderful parish and we will honor you every Thursday!” We have never failed Mary and look at us today! So, please join us every Thursday for the Rosary devotion at 6:30pm! The Rosary was called the “Psalter of Mary” because all because all 15 of its mysteries, with their 150 prayers, just like the number of Psalms in the Bible! Praying all the decades at once is referred to as the“Dominican Rosary.” Join us every week; it really is life giving!
