Generosity at a Time of Need! Last Sunday, Shya Bradley (one of our littlest parishioners) brought her gift to the church. You see, during last week she had won $3.00 in a dance competition and her mother asked her how much he wanted to give to the parish to help build a new church. Shya’s reply: “All of it!” Now that is the gift of giving with joy to God! An example from the smallest to us who are older and perhaps a bit stingier! Only these will inherent the kingdom of God!

In Memoriam of Joan Leight. On behalf of myself, our ministry team, and the entire parish board, it is with great sorrow that we inform you of the death of longtime parishioner, Mrs. Joan Leight. Joan died early Friday morning with her family around her at Elm Terrace in Lansdale, just two days after she was anointed by Msgr. Jim. We are grateful for your prayers and support over the last several months of her illness. Many will remember that it was Joan, and her late husband, Raymond Leight, Jr., who were strong and stalwart benefactors to our parish for many years; critical years at the beginning of our ministry, and donated beautiful and lasting artwork that still adorns our Sanctuary. They also made significant contributions and the Leight Room for Children is named in their honor, and also displays many of Ray’s original children cartoon pieces, as well as our annual Raymond Leight, Jr. Award for Sacrificial Giving, bestowed every annum on New Year’s Day. They will always be part of the heart of our parish. We will celebrate a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Miriam at a date and time to be announced once arrangements are made; please watch for the announcement via our App and The Focus eNewsletter. Please make every effort to attend and celebrate her life and legacy, and remember to pray for Joan and to offer your support to her family.
