Help “Shore Us Up” Through Summertime?  Yes! Pun intended! Every year we, like many churches during the summertime, expect and try to plan for what has become known as ‘the summer slump’! But, did you know that July and August offerings typically fall by 40% or more! Think about your own home: could you manage to make ends meet if your income were suddenly cut by 40%-50%?  Please sign up to support us electronically before the summer begins and show your love of the parish and support of those who have to keep us here in your absence! Click Here to begin today!

Our Youth Group Does GREAT Things! Last week our Saint Miriam Youth Group made 35 sandwiches for the Patrician Society Food Bank in Norristown. They enjoyed a beautiful day of giving back to the community! Care to join them? Email us today!

Something BIG is about to Sprung?  Click Here and register and be among the first to hear the good news! Just add ‘Include me’ in your the text of your message and watch your mail! Nothing like a cryptic message, huh?

Masses and Memorials! Please remember to give the gift of a memorial or honor intention with our Mass Intentions today. Please Click Here and honor someone you love today.

Archbishop Cass Changes Posts.  Archbishop Cass has completed his latest term as Presiding Bishop  and has decided not to continue in this capacity. Instead he will return to his first love as Father General of the Franciscans. He has led the church well and we will continue to see him in his new role! The Conclave of Bishops voted and two nominations were presented for the role of Presiding Bishop: Our Bishop and Bishop Gregory. Bishop +Jim declined the nomination and supported Bishop +Greg. Therefore, Bishop +Greg will assume Presiding Bishop effective today, Sunday, May 24th 2015. We wish him and Archbishop Cass all the prayers and our continued support.

Goddard Gone. Please note that there will be some construction as Goddard School closed next door to us on our campus. A new Malvern School will open in its place so there will be some inconvenience until construction is completed. Any issues, please let someone on staff know?

Pucker Up, Baby! Blessing of the Seersucker is June 14th! Our annual tradition continues! After the 10:30am Mass on June 14th, all our parishioners will be led out of the church and into the Saint Miriam Bell Garden for a Blessing of the Seersucker to welcome in summertime! This brief service is a uniquely Southern take on the “kirking” or blessing of the tartans, celebrated by Washington National Cathedral, All Soul’s Parish (our pastors former home!), and others. The blessing of seersucker is always a fun way to begin the summer season and this year everyone gets a special drink, too! (And our pastor dons on his finest Seersucker site, too!) Come and see! Join us on June 14th!

Small Groups Break in June! Saint Miriam winds down for a brief break during the summer vacation season; So, from June – the end of august, all of our Small Groups take a break, too! Visit the Small Groups page over the break and see where your heart will take you when we begin a new in September! Visit the Small Groups Page Here.

New Missals! Saint Miriam will now offer two versions of its ordinary missals for Mass. The cover that features a modern graphic of a gold chalice and bread will be used at the Early and Late Masses, while the one that features a Jerusalem Cross will be used for the 10:30am Morning Mass along with feast days and solemnities. It just keeps getting better!

“Friends of Francis” Takes In Saint Miriam! Saint Miriam is proud to be included among the list of premier organizations that support the work of Friends of Francis, a global effort to encourage all people – believers and non-believers – to engage in action to make our world a better place. Through our website we will share the stories of those working for Good. We will help people to find organizations doing good work. We will help mobilize the energy and goodwill of young people through our Student Chapters. We will encourage businesses to pay their employees a living wage, to support their communities and care for the environment. And we will develop and advocate specific proposals to develop a human-centered and moral economy whose primary purpose is to provide the responsibility and dignity of employment to all who seek it.
