Saint Miriam Life & News!

Today we … honor the Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time!

Renovations Continue!  Did you know that many of our renovations on our new campus are to comply with our “Green” Policy? We are installing LED lighting, better acoustic technology that uses less energy, and high-efficiency cooling systems! It is an effort to make you comfortable, attract more parishioners, and reduce our carbon footprint as a parish, all in effort to help God further the Kingdom and be better stewards! It is only possible with your support. Please give generously today to show your support of all our hard work!
Cafe’ Closed!  The Saint Miriam Cafe’ is closed to allow us to  pack and move to our new home in Flourtown! If you can lend hand, please see Lorraine Together, we are going places!
A Lemonade Stand by the Children of Saint Miriam!  The children of the parish even started a lemonade stand to help support our building fund! Please visit their page Here! Way to go…little Christians showing big Christians how to love their parish!
Father Joe and Father Bryan Away:  Msgr Jim is covering all Masses today so please show him your support! (He will also sneak away in the middle of the day to do a wedding for a parishioner and make his way back so busy day!) Pray for all of our ministry team. They are busy folks!

Mass of Deconsecration Set for August 30th at 10:30am:  It is time to say goodbye to 475 Norristown Road and it will be bittersweet. It sounds bad, but deconsecration is not the same as desecration. Before a church building is used as a place of worship, especially for Catholics, it has to be consecrated. The reverse, called deconsecration, happens when the church building is no longer to be used as a place of worship. As an institution, which is almost 2 millenia old, there are some rare rituals to follow and it will be interesting to witness and experience this on Sunday, August 30th 2015 at 10:30am, one Mass only, as we witness a liturgy rarely used and beautiful in its intent as we say farewell to our current home. Join us and witness history!
New Phone Number for Parish! Our area is moving to a new section of the Verizon grid and so we needed to change our phone number, too! There will be a recording on our current line, but please note that our new phone number is 215-836-9800 (fax number remains unchanged). Give us a call and support your parish!
New Mass Times Announced.  With the coming move, we will update our Mass selections and a couple start times! Starting Sunday, September 6th they will be:
Early Mass: 7:30am
Family Mass: 9:00am
Morning Mass: 11:00am
Late Mass: 4:30pm
